The Greek Poker Tour series, after 5 succesfull years in Europe, came to Greece for the first time, hosted at the luxurious Regency Casino Thessaloniki. The first Greek Poker Tour in Greece took place between 26 and 29 of April 2012.

The Greek Poker Tour (GPT), is the first and largest Greek organization for poker tournaments in Europe and has already celebrated 5 years of presence among the top European poker tournaments.

Greek Poker Tour came to Greece for the first time for a poker festival on April 26-29 2012. The poker festival was hosted at the luxurious Regency Casino Thessaloniki and consisted of 3 exciting tournaments. The Main Event began on Thursday, 26 April with a buy-in of €550, deep stack structure with 20,000 chips starting stack and hourly levels. The tournament featured a Day 1A and Day 1B on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 of April, before the fields were combined on Saturday and the final GPT champion was crowned late on Sunday night.
